Welcome to The Little Adventurer – a blog about big adventures on a small budget. My name is Lisa – I’m just an ordinary Australian with an insatiable passion for travel.
I’m a self confessed nomad. My whole life is set up to travel – and hike. I don’t have many possessions, or a fixed address. But I feel like I’m living the dream.
I’ve travelled to more than 100 countries to date across six continents.
Taking on new adventures, trying local foods and making friends from around the globe is what drives me.
I’m a very active traveller. I walk everywhere. I love to hike and if there’s mountains in a country I’m visiting – that’s likely where you’ll find me.
Highlights of my travel adventures include hiking Chile’s 70km W Trek, visiting Bolivia’s salt flats and desert, seeing the abandoned city of Pripyat in Ukraine, touring Jordan’s ancient city of Petra, swimming in cenotes in Mexico, camping on top of a volcano in Guatemala, spending a freezing night on the summit of Japan’s Mt Fuji, camping in Botswana’s Okavango Delta, hiking to the highest peaks in the UK, Germany, Slovenia and Poland, and being the only one roaming through Uzbekistan’s beautiful Registan in Samarkand.
My next adventures will include Taiwan, Germany, Austria, Poland, Slovakia, Georgia, Morocco, Albania and parts of Central Asia.
Come explore the world with me.
