Work With Me

Contact Me:

Welcome to my travel blog The Little Adventurer.

My name is Lisa. I’m a born and bred Aussie from Brisbane, Queensland. I’ve been a writer ever since I can remember. Travel came much later on, but now I’ve been to 62 countries  with many more to come.

Today, I combine my love for the written word with my love for travel. The Little Adventurer travel blog aims to inspire, offer travel tips and share my passion for travel, photography and adventure.

My Experience

I’ve travelled to 62 countries to date.

I’m a experienced journalist and public relations professional. I hold a Bachelor of Communications from Australia’s Griffith University. I have worked for a number of high profile organisations in Australia, mainly specialising in crisis communications dealing with floods, cyclones, search and rescues and bushfires – which means I work well under pressure, can think on my feet and write in a hurry!

I currently freelance for the travel blog of CoverMore Travel Insurance. Check out some of my stories here:

My Travel Style

I travel on a budget and predominantly stay in hostels, couchsurf or use AirBnB. I book my accommodation on HostelWorld, AirBnB and

The majority of my adventures are on foot and I spend many of my travel days hiking through some of the world’s beautiful nature reserves.

My Travel Plans

My next trip will start in November 2017. Countries I’ll be visiting include Chile, Ecuador, Bolivia, Colombia, Cuba, Guatemala, South Africa, Tanzania, Namibia, Spain, Italy, France, Georgia, Armenia, Israel, Kazakhstan, Iran, Nepal, Borneo and Japan.
